7. Deflationary Mechanisms
To ensure the long-term economic health and potential scarcity of Plasma Exchange Token (PLXT), several deflationary mechanisms are integrated into the fabric of Orion's Galactic Life. These processes are designed to systematically reduce the total circulating supply of PLXT over time, potentially enhancing its value and reflecting the universe's own entropic tendencies and the cost of imposing order on chaos. These are not merely economic adjustments but are often tied to significant in-game actions and narrative events:
Resource Exchange Transaction Burn: A small percentage of PLXT will be permanently removed from circulation (burned) from every transaction conducted on the player-to-player resource exchange. This applies to the trade of essential (non-NFT) goods, materials, and crafted items, subtly reflecting an energy cost or "entropic decay" inherent in all exchanges within the fractured cosmos.
Yllari Artifact Attunement & Burn: When players discover and attempt to restore, activate, or attune themselves to exceptionally rare and powerful Yllari artifacts – potent (non-NFT) relics that might unlock forgotten knowledge, grant temporary unique boons, or interface with ancient Yllari systems – a significant PLXT fee will be incurred. A portion of this attunement fee will be permanently burned. This symbolizes the immense energies expended, the risks undertaken when interacting with such potent echoes of a lost age, or the "cost of resonance" in bringing such power back into a semblance of stability.
Scheduled Cosmic Cleansing Events (Seasonal Burns): Periodically, aligning with major in-game narrative developments, cosmic alignments, or significant community achievements, "Cosmic Cleansing" events will be initiated. During these events, a predetermined amount of PLXT will be permanently removed from circulation. This could be sourced from a dedicated treasury, accumulated through specific in-game activities leading up to the event, or tied to lore events such as efforts to temporarily seal rifts in the Veil of the Void or to neutralize regions of extreme energy dissonance. These events help maintain PLXT's scarcity and reflect the ongoing struggle against universal entropy.
Universal Entropy Siphon (Transfer Fee): Every PLXT transfer between player wallets will incur a nominal, fixed fee of 1 PLXT. While the primary destination of this fee is the Ecosystem Fund – dedicated to ongoing project development, operational costs, and community initiatives – this consistent siphoning of tokens from immediate active circulation contributes to a managed token velocity. Its inclusion as a deflationary factor stems from this regular removal from readily available supply, subtly tightening the economic currents of the game world.
